Slip on your lederhosen and join El Cajon in a traditional Oktoberfest. Every year the German American Societies of San Diego puts on their annual event. This year the first weekend will be September 29th and the second weekend October 6th. Try authentic German foods like sauerkraut, red cabbage, and pastries. There will be soft drinks for the kids and, of course, a variety of beers for the adults.
Along with the food and beer, there will also be live music by Die Guggenbach Buam. Musicians dress in the traditional clothing and perform a variety of German music. The event will also have folk dancing and performances.
Oktoberfest in El Cajon is a great family-friendly event. You can also visit the vendor & craft booths. The kids will have fun at our Kids’ Zone. The event takes place along Mollison in downtown El Cajon.
